Avignon, City of the Popes

The Escale des Alpilles is just a 10-minute drive from the famous city of Avignon and its most beautiful points of interest. We advise you to start your visit to the city by strolling along the Pont Saint-Bénézet, better known as the Pont d'Avignon. Then, cross the ramparts and reach Avignon city center. You can sit in a café on Place, go shopping in the streets of the city center, visit the museums or take photos of the numerous monuments and remarkable places such as the Palais des Papes, Saint-Pierre Basilica and the Rocher des Doms. Every year, Avignon hosts one of the most important theater events, an event not to be missed. 

The Alpilles, authentic natural spaces

The Alpilles represent a regional natural park which takes its name from the Alpilles mountain massif. This vast protected area includes many villages and towns such as Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Paradou, Baux- de-Provence, Eygalières, Eyguières and Senas. In addition to the exploration of exceptional nature and the discovery of remarkable flora, many activities can be on the program for your days: hikes suitable for all levels, votive festivals, meeting with local producers, etc.

Rognonas, a charming village

Rognonas is a village in the Alpilles which will surprise and seduce you with its numerous votive festivals, bullfights and Provençals which punctuate the entire year: Good Angel (end of April, beginning of May), Saint-Éloi (mid-July), Saint-Roch (end august). The city center comes alive on Tuesday mornings with the weekly market and from November 15 for the Christmas market. Near our hotel in the Alpilles, you will have the arenas of Rognonas, amenities and restaurants.

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, pearl of the Alpilles

This charming town in Provence, 15 minutes from the hotel, is known for having hosted Vincent Van Gogh for a year. He is said to have painted more than 150 paintings of Saint-Rémy-de -Provence, a route of panels within the city traces its history and its works. During your visit to St Rémy de Provence, we advise you to discover: Saint-Paul de Mausole, Glanum, Les Antiques and the Estrine museum

Les Baux-de-Provence, classified as “the most beautiful villages in France”

The village of Baux-de-Provence, just 25 minutes from the hotel, is known and renowned throughout the world for its immersive show of sound and light in the Carrières de Lumières. These are not the only treasures of the village, we advise you to visit: the Château des Baux-de-Provence, the Saint-Vincent Church, the Saint-Vincent Church, the Saint-Vincent Church, the strong>Santons museum and the Porte Eyguières

Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Comtadine Venice

40 minutes from the hotel, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is known as the capital of flea markets. If you like antiquing, decoration and history, we'll meet you in one of the city's antiques villages. You will enjoy strolling along the city's canals and stopping at a café. We advise you to visit the Campredon Center d’Art and the Collège Notre-Dame-des-Anges.

Arles, largest city in France in terms of area

25 minutes from the hotel, the streets of the town of Arles are home to a large number of remains from Roman times and it is known for its famous photography festival. You will perhaps have the opportunity to discover the Saint-Trophime Cloister, the Roman Amphitheater, the Ancient Theater, the Roman Obelisk, the Van Gogh Bridge, the Alyscamps, the Baths of Constantine, the Cryptoportics and the Roman Circus
